Breakfast Smoothie Bowl

A thick banana and berry blend served chilled in a bowl.

Smooth, fruity, and refreshing, this breakfast bowl is made to be eaten with a spoon rather than sipped. The creamy blended base pairs naturally with fresh fruit, crunchy toppings, nuts, or seeds, giving every spoonful a mix of cool, soft, and crisp textures.

Thick Blend • Fresh Fruit • Crunchy Toppings

What Makes a Great Smoothie Bowl

Thick, Spoonable Base

Frozen banana and berries help create a creamy texture that stays thick enough to hold toppings.

Fruit-Forward Flavour

Banana brings natural sweetness and body, while berries add brightness, colour, and a fresh fruity finish.

Finished with Texture

Fruit, granola, nuts, and seeds can add crunch and contrast to the smooth chilled base.

Why Is a Smoothie Bowl Thicker Than a Smoothie?

A smoothie bowl uses many of the same ingredients as a regular smoothie, but the texture is intentionally much thicker. Frozen fruit helps create body, and only a small amount of liquid is added so the blend stays dense enough to eat with a spoon.

That thicker consistency also gives the toppings somewhere to sit instead of sinking straight through. Fresh fruit, granola, nuts, seeds, coconut, or nut butter can then add extra flavour and texture to the bowl.

Built for a Better Breakfast Bowl

The best smoothie bowls balance a creamy base with colourful toppings and contrasting textures.

Start with Frozen Fruit

Frozen banana and berries help produce a cold, creamy base without needing too much added liquid.

Keep the Blend Thick

Adding liquid gradually makes it easier to control the consistency and keep the bowl spoonable.

Add the Crunch Last

Granola, nuts, seeds, and fresh fruit are best added after blending so they keep their texture and freshness.
